Freytag & Petersen’s second event “Paper Playground #2“ was all about hot foil stamping. Between two and three times a year the paper wholesaler catering customers from industry, retail and business sends out invitations for lectures and exhibitions. 

This time, in cooperation with the stamping manufactory and design agency R211 a workshop was devised whose aim was to communicate the design possibilities of hot foil stamping in a creative manner.

To that end, creative folks, advertisers and designers were invited into the former papermill in Erkrath – for an event that offered them the possibility to try out the artistic interaction of paper, stamping and design hands-on.

R211 devised the invitation card and the common design theme for the entire workshop under the motto “creative minds“.   

Says Angela Kettler, founder of agency R211: “Here both the fascination and haptic interplay of design, paper and stamping technique become visible“.

In the course of the event, participants had the opportunity to stamp ready-made postcards with additional accessories under expert guidance. Finally, handiwork and pen added the final touch to the cards before they were inserted into envelopes folded by the participants.

The workshop succeeded in conveying new inspiration and ideas to the target group – in a manner that was convincing all along the line.
